Isaac Hanson, the oldest brother in the singing trio Hanson, had a health scare while performing on stage Tuesday night in Dallas, TX.
Having had a clotting in his arm in 2003, he recognized the signs when he saw his shoulder start swelling and his right arm becoming numb.
Isaac says: “I started to be really suspicious of what it was. In the middle of the show, I said to someone: ‘We may need to go to the hospital.'”
And once at the hospital, doctors discovered that he had blot clots in his right arm, jugular vein and lungs, similar to the clotting he had in 2003.
Isaac underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, although he will probably need another surgery in 6-9 months.
The new father says, “There were definitely some emotional moments, especially because of having a 6-month-old little boy. You can’t help but think to yourself: Wow, what if they hadn’t caught it when they did? Or what if the clot had been larger?”
